Abstract

The International Institute of Advanced Islamic Studies (IAIS) Malaysia, together with the Academy of Islamic Studies, University of Malaya, the Department of Science and Technology Studies, Faculty of Science, University of Malaya, and the Global Environment Centre (GEC), co-organised the International Seminar on Islam and Green Technology 2017, held on 20 November 2017. This oneday event featured several prominent speakers, including Dato Seri Ir. Dr. Zaini Ujang, the Secretary-General, Ministry of Energy (Green Technology and Water), Emeritus Prof. Datuk Dr. Osman Bakar from the Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddien Centre for Islamic Studies (SOASCIS), Universiti Brunei Darussalam, Prof. Dato Dr. Mohd Yusof Othman, Director of the Institute of Islam Hadhari (UKM), and Prof. Dato Ir. Dr. Hassan Basri, Principal Research Fellow of the Institute of Islam Hadhari (UKM).
