Abstract

ZN: Do you think Malaysia in her current state represents an ideal model of ethnic harmony?

JE: No. If you had asked me this question years ago I would have said that Malaysia was ahead of many countries in the Arab and Muslim world. Although it did not represent full ethnic harmony, it had a good history and trajectory. However, sadly the situation has deteriorated.
